Parenting is like the stock market. You invest a lot with very little return sometimes. When you do hit, however, you hit big with greater returns that you'd hoped for.--Mamma

Laboring Through the Holiday Weekend

It's Labor Day weekend and while we should be enjoying our last holiday as just a couple, I continue my suffering. It's apparent I have PMS (Persistent Maternal Separation). My PMS is due to the fact that we continue to be separated from Leena. Today we got more photos of her from a family who recently were at Fuling to get their daughter. These are the most current we've gotten and Leena looks like a big, happy girl. I just want her home, here with us. Many other folks with the same LID as us already have their flight plans! Does that stink or what? I'm just so tired of waiting and waiting and waiting for this child. And, to see her photos and know that each day is another we're apart.....I won't belabor the point suffice it to say it's just very depressing. So, I'm going to muddle through these next few days in the hopes that the week ahead brings good news (on a variety of fronts here at home). Our family needs some good news!
