Father's Day

It was a joyous Sunday as the Pumpkin family celebrated Big Daddy P's first Father's Day. Mamma Pumpkin had all the day's events well planned in advance, along with special gifts for our special Daddy.

Big Daddy was greeted in the morning with a little extra alone time (much needed) as Mamma took care of Pumpkin and gave her breakfast while daddy got a little extra sleep. Then, Mamma and Pumpkin hand delivered a breakfast of waffles with strawberries and cream (Daddy's favorites) for breakfast in bed. This was followed with Daddy and Pumpkin play time on the giant jungle gym known as our king size bed.

After Daddy got up, Mamma gave Pumpkin her gift for Daddy which she proudly presented to him all by herself: a watch with and inscription that read "You're the best Daddy ever! Love, Pumpkin." Below that is a picture of Pumpkin so Daddy never has to be away from his little Pumpkin for long. Mamma gave Daddy a battery-powered grill cleaner and a new set of grilling tools, which he also loved.

The day was then spent relaxing at home, just the Pumpkin clan, enjoying some wonderfully quiet family time. The day ended with a call from Jei-Jei, our step-daughter in MN who called to send Father's Day greetings to Big Daddy.

I'm certain that Big Daddy has a terrific first Father's Day that reiterated in every way possible just how much he is loved, honored and respected by Mamma and Pumpkin. We are two very lucky ladies to have him in our lives, not just on Father's Day but every day throughout the year.
