The following note, "A November 18th family has been told they will not be included in this batch. That would seem to be a pretty safe bet, I think" was posted in a message from RQ yesterday and it sent those of us with an 11/18/05 LID through the roof with joy. It was a small, but remarkable thing to finally see our actual LID being discussed with regard to when we'll get our referrals! WOO-HOO. In this game, you take any victory, no matter how small or trivial it may seem. All my adoption lists were buzzing about the prospects of being able to say "we're next" or "our referrals will come..." The mere thought of being close enough for discussion is a miracle in itself.
So, we've got a little spring in our step this week here at the house. It may all be dashed when the next batch of referrals comes out and it's for only a few days or one day or something else horrid, but tonight we dance.
